The Health Indemnity plan establishes a legal agreement that the patient must be paid the entire amount when using a benefit. That “entire amount” to be paid is always a pre-determined and fixed amount so you always know before you go.

For example, when Gary (the customer whose check is displayed) was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer, he had only made 3 premium payments but this health indemnity plan completely covered his treatments AND paid him more than $59,000 worth of excess indemnity checks.

How is that possible? Gary’s daily radiation benefit was $2,250 and his provider only billed $408.75. This means that Gary was sent a check for the remaining $1,841.25 EVERY TIME he received his radiation treatment.
